NTT Europe Online wins £6 million Government Services Contract

NTT Europe Online, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation, announced that it has been awarded a £6 million plus contract to provide web hosting, managed security and content distribution services to outsourcing and technology expert Xansa. The web hosting infrastructure will underpin a web services platform for three major Government departments.

The initial three departments using the shared services infrastructure include Directgov (Cabinet Office), the Department of Health and the Department of Education and Skills (DfES), known collectively as “The Club”. The contract will allow them to share development resources, create common functionality and allow re-use of components within the platform, reducing time to market as well as cost.
